TB Joshua's "many great, famous, popular and rich men and politicians will become helpless"

Here is Pastor TB Joshua's 2013 prophesy;

 (Unpleasant) Surprises for Famous, Popular and Rich Men including Politicians “2013 is a year of surprises. I am seeing many great, famous, popular and rich men and politicians will become helpless and in need of help in matters of sickness, disease, finances, death, etc,” he said in the service broadcast live on the popular Christian station Emmanuel TV. “One of the causes, they have failed to reward those who helped them to succeed. This is the year of judgement especially for politicians who use youth to support their political ambitions without reward after winning power.”

 Farming will FlourishJoshua then proceeded to celebrate the future of farming, claiming that providence would favour those who engaged in it this year. “Those in the foodstuff business will have a field day this year. Farming and agriculture will be the order of the day and will help greatly to be the source of solution this year. People engaged in it will be greatly blessed.” Joshua was emphatic in his conviction that such actions would reap great rewards, stating it was a secret God had revealed to him.

“Foodstuff business and agriculture or farming are anointed businesses this New Year, to revive the world from economic depression. This is the secret of God revealed to you today. Quote me; you will not regret doing it. My name is T.B. Joshua.” Message for Young People – Stop Travelling Abroad and Invest in Agriculture.

Joshua, speaking to the thousands who had gathered in his church to usher in the New Year, counselled young people who spent vast resources of energy, time and finances in the pursuit of foreign travel to rather invest in agriculture. “They will achieve greatness by transacting in agriculture and foodstuff and become successful in export and import business.” Message for Couples & Prospective EntrepreneursHe further advised couples dissatisfied with their current occupations to allow one of them to pursue a career in agronomy.

 “Those who have been working for many years and have never been satisfied with the job and salary they receive, the little limited resources at their disposal should be invested in foodstuff business or agriculture, especially those already married. They should divide themselves in such a way that either the husband or wife should step down from service where they receive salary and face agriculture.”

 Answered prayers for couples “seeking for the fruit of the womb”He proclaimed that faithful Christians would receive answers to prayers, especially in the area of couples seeking for the fruit of the womb. Be Charitable!Joshua called on people to engage in charitable activities, especially in provision of scholarships to deserving young people. “Share their pain and share their joy. This year, there is great reward in doing this if you do it with all your heart.” Natural Disasters & Accidents.

Additionally, Joshua predicted that natural disasters would continue to abound, alongside accidents on land, sea and air. Stop Praying against your EnemiesHe concluded by advising people to stop the habit of praying against enemies. “Stop praying against those who hurt you. This year, you will see clearly that God is God of vengeance. Instead, you should pray for them.“

 More Prophesies to ComeJoshua stated that he would be revealing further prophetic messages for the international community and world leaders in subsequent services. He then prayed for the congregation, including the thousands who had gathered in huge overflow tents outside, decreeing that 2013 would be a year where ‘new dreams come true’ for genuine Christians.

Zimbabwe Police Label TB Joshua A Sorcerer

Evangelical and Pentecostal Christianity are powerful forces in sub-Saharan politics. So, too, is the belief in prophecy and sorcery.

In Zimbabwe, it is tense times, with uncertainty about President Robert Mugabe’s health, the dates of the next election, and whether constitutional and other reforms will be achieved. Taken together, faith and politics are the context for the Zimbabwean partisan wrangling over a Nigerian Pentecostal preacher.

Zimbabwean prime minister and opposition presidential candidate Morgan Tsvangirai has allegedly invited the Nigerian televangelist and faith healer Temitope Balogun (‘TB’) Joshua to Harare to be the guest speaker on Africa Day, May 25, a “National Day of Prayer.” In response, the police, dominated by President Robert Mugabe’s ZANU-PF party, are pulling out all of the stops to prevent the visit. A senior police officer accuses Joshua of being a “false prophet,” and screened at the Harare police headquarters a video that dwells on Joshua’s alleged womanizing, titled “T.B. Joshua’s Evil Doings Finally Revealed.” Close Mugabe ally, the schismatic Anglican bishop Nolbert Kunonga, accuses Joshua of “Satanism” and of being “diabolical.” Previously, other pro ZANU-PF clergy have claimed on state-controlled media that Joshua’s preaching is “judgmental, partisan, and unorthodox.” The apparent anger of Mugabe’s supporters also reflects that many Zimbabweans, like others in sub-Sahara Africa, treat prophesy, “Satanism,” and the “diabolical” with deadly seriousness. Hence, the denunciation of Joshua as a “false” prophet.

Joshua earlier prophesized that “an African leader” would die in sixty days. In fact, the president of Malawi died shortly thereafter. More recently, he has prophesied that another “African leader” will fall “critically ill’ and be hospitalized soon.

For Mugabe, who reportedly suffers from prostate cancer and seeks medical treatment in Singapore regularly, this “prophecy” is probably too close to home. It doesn’t help that Joshua has apparently been invited to Zimbabwe by Tsvangirai who might somehow benefit from Joshua’s charismatic preaching whenever the elections are held.

An estimated 15,000 attend Joshua’s Nigerian services on Sundays, at his Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN). He also runs Emanuel TV, which broadcasts via satellite and Internet. He has affiliated congregations in Ghana, the UK, South Africa, and Greece. Zimbabwe police are reportedly investigating a “fraudster” church in Harare allegedly linked to Joshua. His faith healing ministrations have included South African rugby players.
