Outrage as 85-yr-old man allegedly defiles 12-yr-old girl

THERE is outrage in Okesa area of Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, following allegations that an 85-year old man, Pa Samuel Oladipupo, allegedly raped a 12-year old girl identified simply as Esther.

Oladipupo, who is now being detained by the Ekiti State police command at the command headquarters in Ado Ekiti, told newsmen in Ado Ekiti, on Tuesday, that he did not rape the girl, but that he attempted to have sex with her with her consent after he was seduced.

According to the octogenarian, he sent the JSS 1 student to buy recharge card for him, adding that she had helped him to enter the credit digits into his mobile handset at his home, and left.

He claimed further that “she came back and said she came to tell me that she was hungry.”

After a meal of bread and stew, Oladipupo claimed further, “She relaxed in the upholstery chair and took off all her dresses.” 

  As a man, I began to lose control. But I’ve collected that it could be a plan to frame me an d I quickly stood up. So, I didn’t enter her.”

But the girl countered Pa Oladipupo’s statement, saying she did not seduce him but that it was the man that  grabbed her.

According to her, she had gone to mend her school sandal when Pa Oladipupo she had earlier helped to buy a recharge card, called her and accused her of stealing his mobile handset.

“When I told him I didn’t steal his phone, he then asked me to accompany him to his sitting room where we found the phone on the television and he apologised. As I made to go, Baba grabbed me and pushed me onto the couch and forcefully had sex with me. The loud noise I made attracted one woman who came to my rescue and took me to my mother.”

The Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Mr. Victor Olu Babayemi, said the alleged crime was committed on Sunday at No. 9, Barracks Road in Okesa, Ado Ekiti, adding that the girl had been taken to the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), Ado Ekiti, for necessary tests.

Babayemi said preliminary investigations conducted y the police confirmed that the old man is a serial rapist, adding that the accused person would be charged to court as soon as the test results were received.

The Ekiti Police spokesperson also hinted that the matter had been reported to the Ekiti State Gender-Based Violence Prohibition Committee for immediate rehabilitation of the victim.

Man, 27 Arrested For Defiling 12-Year Old Girl

A 27-year old man named Suleiman Aliu, been arrested by the police at Onikan Division, Ikoyi, Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria,, for allegedly defiling a 12-year old girl . The police said the suspect said in his statement that he only had sex with the little girl three times. The incident occurred at 38, Ajeniya Street, Obalende, where the victim and the accused reside. He was charged before an Igbosere Magistrate’s Court on a one count charge of defilement.

 The police stated in the charge sheet that the accused was arrested following a complaint by the mother of the victim that Aliu had defiled her daughter. She stated that she saw her daughter when she came out of Aliu’s apartment at about 1 a.m. on 17 April, 2012, walking awkwardly in the passage. The victim’s mother stated further that when she confronted her daughter on her mission to Aliu’s apartment at such an odd hour, she confessed that Aliu had sex with her, and that he had secretly had sex with her thrice.

 At the station, the accused allegedly confessed to the crime. He stated that he only had sex with her thrice and begged the police prosecutor for forgiveness. According to PM report, the offence, the prosecutor, ASP Austin Onwuemene said, contravened Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011. 

 When Aliu was arraigned, he pleaded not guilty to the charge and Magistrate Mrs. Awope, admitted him on bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties in like sum who must show evidence of 3-year tax payment to the Lagos State government. She adjourned the matter till 5 June, 2012 for mention. The accused was remanded in Ikoyi Prison when he could not perfect his bail condition on time.

65 Years Old Man Convicted For R*ping 5 Teenage Girls

The sexual escapades of a 65-year-old man with five minors, two of whom he impregnated in the process, has landed him in the full grips of the law. The accused, Davis Kwadwo Danso, a lotto writer who lives in his kiosk at Konka Dome, was arrested by the Madina Domestic Violence and Victims’ support Unit (DOVVSU) when the complainant, Agnes Boamah, headmistress of Anglican Primary School at Dome, reported the case to the police for investigations.

 Presenting the facts of the case, the Prosecutor, ASP Sarah Acquah of DOVVSU, said the incident was unraveled when one of the victims (name withheld), aged 13, and a class five pupil of the above-mentioned school, who lives with her parents at Dome got impregnated by the accused. According to ASP Acquah, during the early part of 2011, the victim was introduced to the accused person by a classmate who had dropped out of school because she had been impregnated by the accused. 

 After their first encounter, the accused encouraged the victim to visit him regularly. He gave the victim various sums of money anytime she visited. However, on the February 25, 2012 at about 4:00pm when the victim visited the accused, the latter forcibly had sex with the victim and warned her not to inform anyone about the incident. The accused continued to lure the victim with money and took advantage of her anytime she visited. The last time he had sex with her was on May 6, this year, ASP Acquah said. 

However, the next day, May 7, the complainant noticed unusual changes in the victim and questioned her. It was through questioning that the victim revealed the sexual activities of the accused. The victim mentioned that the accused had also had sex with some of her mates (names withheld) aged 12 and 15. In their respective statements, the victims confirmed the allegation and indicated that the accused have been having sex with them since last year. 

 The victims also disclosed that the accused also had sex with one other pupil of Dome M/A Experimental School and also attempted to have sex with another pupil. The accused however, pleaded not guilty to all five counts of charges of defilement preferred against him. The presiding Judge, Ms Sedinam Agbemava, adjourned the case to June 7, this year after remanding the accused in prison custody. All the victims have been medically examined and treated.

REVENGE? Husband r*pes niece to punish wife

A man raped his 10-year-old niece to get back to his wife. After the incident, the man went back and told his wife about what he had done, however, the wife filed a complaint with the authorities only when the husband threatened to divorce her a few days later. 

 The husband was tired of his wife’s nagging. He took his anger out on his 10-year-old neice. He went to his wife’s brother’s place and took the little girl to their terrace on some pretext. He gagged and raped her there, reveals The Times of India. His wife did not reveal the truth even after her husband gloated about it to her. 

It was only when he threatened to divorce her a few days later that she went to the police. The child’s parents also did not know anything about the incident. Medical reports confirmed that the girl had been sexually abused. The reports also revealed that the man had inflicted burn wounds in her private parts.
