Halle Berry rushed to hospital 'after accident

Halle Berry was rushed to hospital in Los Angeles last night following an accident on the set of her latest movie, it has been claimed. It is believed that Halle hit her head on some concrete after taking a nasty fall while shooting The Hive in the city. 

The mother-of-one, who had appeared in good spirits while filming earlier in the day, was rushed to the Cedars-Sinai Hospital in LA shortly after the incident occurred at around 10pm last night. 

 A spokesperson for the actress said she has since been released from hospital, adding in a statement: 'Halle Berry suffered a minor head injury while shooting a fight sequence on the set of her film, The Hive. 

 'She was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but she checked out healthy and was released. She'll continue production as planned.' Following the accident, the set was shut down soon afterwards. 

Earlier in the day, Halle, 45, looked happy and cheery as she waved to fans while the crew set up shots on location in southern central Los Angeles. The thriller, which is set against the backdrop of a 911 call centre, also stars Abigail Breslin, who first shot to fame in Little Miss Sunshine.

Oh that Biebs! He’s becoming quite a charmer and a ladies man of sorts as he hurtles towards his twenties! The ‘All Around the World’ singer, like Sir Mix-A-Lot likes big butts and he cannot lie! In a chat with Q (quotes courtesy of Entertainment Wise), Justin Bieber revealed that he is a butt man! And one of his favorite derrieres belongs to his ‘Beauty and a Beat’ duet partner Nicki Minaj!

“I think I’m a butt guy. I just like butts. I’m attracted to them,” The Biebs said. “Do I have any favorites? Nicki Minaj has got a nice one.”

Minaj is known for her shapely rump, so she’ll probably be stoked to hear that The Biebs is digging on the junk in her trunk. We’re surprised he didn’t namecheck Jennifer Lopez, also known for her backside.

Minaj isn’t the only pop diva that has caught the singer’s eye. He also called Beyonce “sexy” and confirmed that he is “in love with everything about her.”

Um, should Jay-Z be worried that a young man has zoned in on his baby mama? Not even! Should JB’s girl Selena Gomez be concerned that he’s spilling compliments about other women? No way. He’s being cute and playful. And he’s human and can be attracted to other women and appreciate their shapely booties.

The Biebs also shared that he doesn’t like his largely young and female fanbase talking about ‘Jerry,’ which is their code name for his package, until they are at least 13. Anyone under 13 referencing Jerry upsets the singer.

“I don’t really agree with 12-year-olds talking about those inappropriate things,” he said, expressing concern. “I just think the younger people are, the closer the parents should watch out over the kids. But once they turn 13, it’s easier because they’re going to learn that stuff anyway.”

What a good role model The Biebs is, but you hear that Beliebers? He’s all sorts of PG-13 about Jerry, so don’t ask him about it or talk about it until you are of age.

Elton John Ponders Quitting Music to Raise His Son

Elton John may be ready to cast his epic showbiz career aside. The first-time father has revealed that as his son Zachary gets older, he's thinking more and more about leaving the music industry to become a full-time, stay-at-home father!

 ''While I'm feeling good, I'm going to keep working," the 65-year-old music icon told the BBC, before admitting, "When Zachary goes to school, that's another different thing." 

The father of the 19-month old boy insists he's determined to be a hands-on dad. ''I want to take him to school and I want to pick him up. I don't want to miss that part of his childhood.''  

Elton has already expressed his fear that Zachary will be stigmatized by his future peers over his unique family. The legend has been in a civil partnership with David Furnish since 2005, and the couple welcomed their son via a surrogate.

Perhaps the guilt he feels over the fact that his son will grow up without a mother only furthers his desire to really be there for Zachary as much as possible. ''It's going to be heartbreaking for him to grow up and realize he hasn't got a mummy," Elton said. "But he's so happy. I've never seen a more contented child.

 And you have never seen two more contented people as David and I.'' In addition to making sure he's an awesome father, Elton says giving his boy some siblings will only make things easier. ''I'd love to have more children. I want Zachary to have a brother or a sister to go to school with him, and so that he can have someone to play with.'' The more, the merrier!

CNN Anchor Anderson Cooper Confesses: “The fact is, I’m gay.”

Finally, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper has confirmed what most people in the media world and New York already know for a long time: He is gay.

Cooper wrote in an email to blogger Andrew Sullivan: “The fact is, I’m gay.  Always have been, always will be, and I couldn’t be any more happy, comfortable with myself, and proud.”

A longtime friend of Cooper’s, and who is gay himself, Sullivan had asked the CNN anchor for his reaction to a recent Entertainment Weekly story—”The New Art of Coming Out”—which was, in part, about the importance of gay celebrities coming out of the closet to combat America’s bullying epidemic.

“Andrew, as you know, the issue you raise is one that I’ve thought about for years,” Cooper responded. “Even though my job puts me in the public eye, I have tried to maintain some level of privacy in my life. Part of that has been for purely personal reasons. I think most people want some privacy for themselves and the people they are close to.”

Cooper said he did not come out in the open in his 2006 memoir, entitled “Dispatches from the Edge,” because the book was meant to be about war and not about his personal life. But his thinking has since changed.

While it’s the first time Cooper has announced the truth about his sexuality, it’s been an open secret in the media and gay communities for years. In 2007, for example, Out magazine put Cooper on its list of the list of 50 most powerful gays.  In 2011, Cooper gave a winking nod to his homosexuality during a panel discussion with writers from The Onion. And last month, Cooper was among the celebrities featured in a New York Observer cover story on “the glass closet.”

Gay communities quickly applauded Cooper’s courage in coming out.  Not everyone celebrated the Cooper’s announcement, though.

Tom Cruise is highest paid actor

Tom Cruise has topped a list of the highest paid actors in Hollywood.The star, who is getting divorced from wife Katie Holmes, made nearly twice as much as second-placed Leonardo DiCaprio in the Forbes Magazine rundown.

It's after the 50-year-old's appearance in the latest Mission: Impossible film - Ghost Protocol - which made more than $700m (£446m) worldwide.

Forbes estimates that Tom Cruise earned $75 million (£47m) between May 2011 and May this year.

His wife Katie Holmes filed for divorce last week and is seeking sole custody of their daughter, Suri.

Last year's top earner Leonardo DiCaprio, 37, tied for second place on the list with comic actor Adam Sandler, 45, who both made $37 million (£23m).

DiCaprio's earnings dropped after his 2010 film Inception, which made $825 million (£526m) at the global box office.

Adam Sandler's income included his earnings from 2011 film Jack and Jill.

Former professional wrestler Dwayne Johnson, 40, came in fourth earning $36 million (£22m).

His film Fast Five took in $626 million (£399m) worldwide.

At number five is comedian Ben Stiller with $33 million (£21m), whose next film The Watch is about a group of Neighbourhood Watch fathers and is due for release in July.

In compiling the list, Forbes says it considers factors including pay, profit participation, residuals, endorsements and advertising work.
